On Feb. 2, Punxsutawney Phil supposedly did not see his shadow and forecast an early spring. Do you see an early spring? Phil has long been overrated as a weather forecaster but this year his abilities are proving to be a cruel hoax. Since all you really need to replace Phil is just an alliterative name, I suggest we consider Rockford Ralph, Waukegan Willie, Joliet Jerry, Peoria Pete, Springfield Sam, Champaign Charlie, Decatur Dave, or Bolingbrook Bob as suitable replacements and give them their chance to prove themselves.
