In an email today, Andrzejewski said he took his idea to 15 think tanks and public policy groups in Washington DC last week, who endorsed the idea of line-by-line access to the federal checkbook.
According to Adam, his new federal portal goes "beyond google government" and will be a "game changer."
The new portal will provide citizens with "specific, detailed information on exactly where federal tax dollars are spent: contracts, loans, direct payments, insurance payments, and grants. Plus, four years of all farm subsidies and five year salary histories of most federal employees," wrote Andrzejewski
The project took nine months to complete, and follows Andrzejewski's mantra: "every dime, online, in real time." An advanced look can be found here.
