Health and Human Services Secretary Kathlen Sebelius was in Chicago today to announce that the federal government has given Illinois conditional approval
for its plan to provide Obamacare to "state residents" (vs. citizens) beginning Oct. 1.
At the press conference today, Quinn said, “We are going to be working very hard between now and October 1st to educate the people of our state about the health care coverage options...”
The state, which is in severe financial crisis, is partnering with the federal government, which is in serious financial crisis, to offer financial subsidies. One can only hope Obamacare has a canary provision.
