SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois House Executive Committee passed the same sex marriage proposal late Tuesday night with a 6 to 5 vote along party lines.
State Rep. Luis Arroyo (D-Chicago) commented during his vote that while he would vote to get the bill out of committee, he would not be supporting the legislation on the House floor, indicating SB 10 could face a close vote on the Illnois House floor, especially if the Democratic Latino caucus begins to fray.
