QUINCY - Chicago businessman Bruce Rauner told Quincy area Republicans Sunday that he's exploring a bid for governor of Illinois, and said he's been on a listening tour throughout the state. Rauner's is part of the traditional pre-election year Lincoln Day Dinner circuit. Others exploring a 2014 bid that joined Rauner in Quincy were State Senator Kirk Dillard and State Treasurer Dan Rutherford. All their speeches were posted HERE
Another speaker, Congressman Adam Kinzinger, suggested that Bruce Rauner funded recent anti-Aaron Schock ads that have been running in his district. Schock has hinted he's interested in a gubernatorial bid as well.
