An actor who portrays President Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln
Presidential Library in Springfield is travelling to Washington, DC to lobby
for museums on Capitol Hill.
Actor Fritz Klein (photo right) is portraying Lincoln at Museums Advocacy Day on Tuesday morning. The federally funded American Alliance of Museums is bringing more than 300 museum professionals from 45 different states to press lawmakers for more support.
Klein plans to make the case for the educational and economic benefits of U.S. museums, and will also perform as Lincoln for students at Washington's Brent Elementary School on Tuesday.
