SPRINGFIELD - While thousands of traditional marriage proponents lined the sidewalks in front of the Capitol Wednesday, inside same sex marriage proponents moved forward on SB 10, scheduling the legislation for a hearing in the House Executive Committee. Placement in that particular committee usually means clear sailing for the considered legislation, that Speaker Mike Madigan gives it a thumbs up to move forward to the House floor. The House Exec committee is made up of seven Democrats and four Republicans, and will meet next Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Capitol's Room 114.
