SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois House Judiciary Committee will be holding two hearings this week on the topic of gun rights and control. Specifically, topics such as how to respond to the federal courts' requirement that Illinois enact a concealed carry law, consider an assault weapons ban, limit magazine sizes and initiate universal background checks.
The hearings are scheduled for Tuesday, 19 February, at Noon in Room 114 of the State Capitol Building, Springfield and Friday, 22 February, at 10:00 AM, Room 600, Bilandic Building, 160 North LaSalle St., Chicago. Members of the committee include:
