WEST CHICAGO - State Rep Mike Fortner (R-West Chicago) announced his new committee assignments Monday, highlighting that he will be the Minority Spokes Person for the Cities and Villages Committee and will continue to be the Minority Spokes Person for the Tollway Oversight Committee.
“As a former Mayor, I have a special appreciation for how legislation can affect cities and villages and will truly look forward to bringing a strong voice and my experience to municipal issues” said Fortner.
In addition, Republican Leader Tom Cross has also selected Rep. Fortner to represent good leadership in the following committees for the new 98th General Assembly, they include: Energy, Mass Transit, and Transportations: Regulations, Roads and Bridges Committee.
