General John Borling releases new collection of poems

ROCKFORD - Once a POW in the Hanoi Hilton, then as a retired major general he was a candidate for U.S. Senate in Illinois (the year Jack Ryan won the Republican nomination). Now General John Borling is a resident of Rockford, and just launched a book tour promoting a collection of poems he wrote 40 years ago in VietNam, "Taps on the Walls."

Borling will be holding a book signing at the Rockford Barnes & Noble Thursday night at 7:00 PM after appearing on Fox & Friends this morning in New York.  Recently, he was interviewed on WGNTV -
