Cook County Republican Party Chairman Aaron Del Mar (photo right) announced the appointment of Jim Falvey as the new Committeeman in Lyons Township.
Jim “will do an excellent job building the Republican organization in Lyons Township and strengthening Republican efforts in this important township,” said Del Mar. “I made this appointment after he was unanimously recommended by our review committee, who interviewed several supremely qualified individuals for the position. It is our hope that all of these individuals will work with Committeeman Falvey to accomplish the important tasks ahead as we prepare for an election where we will have the chance to elect a Republican Governor to lead Illinois back to prosperity.”
Vetting for potential appointees was conducted by a committee headed by Palos Township Republican Committeeman Sean Morrison. The committee also included Worth Township Republican Committeeman Shaun Murphy, Stickney Township Republican Committeeman Mike Olik, 19th Ward Republican Committeeman James Parilli, Proviso Township Republican Committeeman Michael Corrigan, Berwyn Township Republican Committeeman Anthony Castrogiovanni, business owner and Lyons Township Republican Organization member Steve Palmer, Lyons Township Republican Organization member Christine Cook, and State Representative James Durkin.
