Chicago's William
Ayers will be on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus this
week for a public speech and meetings with faculty and students on how
to incorporate social justice issues into curriculum.
Ayers, 68, co-founded the Weather Underground, a group that in the late 1960s and early 1970s bombed government buildings – including the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and the New York City Police Department.
Since then, he’s become a self-proclaimed expert on education reform and was a taxpayer-funded professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He's also a close friend and confidante of President Barack Obama.
