CICERO, IL - The Cicero mayoral race is heating up with accusations about Mayor Larry Dominick's alleged co-ownership of a plumbing
company that got nearly $2 Million from the city, and another complaint
about Dominick's home garage supposedly unpermitted renovation.
But it's Cicero, so it gets more interesting than that. A Sun-Times article today has revealed that current village board official - Kerry Kotwasinski (photo right | Sun-Times) - has moved to Germany without the knowledge of anyone in the Village.
The Village of Cicero has paid Kotwasinski about $12,000 over 19 months to go to monthly meetings of its Housing and Real Estate Board as a board member. He was appointed before he left the country. But whether he was living in town or abroad, he didn’t go to a single meeting, according to board minutes obtained by the Sun-Times.
The minutes also show all absences from the town board during Kotwasinski’s tenure were to be reported to Derek Dominick, a town official and the son of Town President Larry Dominick. ...More HERE
