CHICAGO - This week Chicago's National Public Radio affiliate WBEZ 91.5 launched a fundraising effort that could easily be mistaken for a prolife campaign. As part of their "2032 Fundraiser," they encourage listeners to Go Make Babies.
You can understand their concerns. With Chicago having lost 200,000 people in the last decade, in addition to an average of 45,000 abortions every year, WBEZ is justified to be concerned over its projected population in 20 years. WBEZ's Facebook page had the following instructions:
... just by navigating to this website you’ve proven that you’re an interesting person. A seeker. A member of the Curious Class. And we want more of you. That’s why we’re asking you to do the city a solid, and begin to procreate immediately.
