Chicago firefighters say "no" to Rahm, refuse to divest from gun manufacturers

The firefighters pension fund this week disobeyed Mayor Rahm Emanuel's demand that they dump their stock with weapons manufacturers.

A motion was made at Wednesday’s meeting of the Chicago Firefighters Annuity and Benefits Fund to divest $173,000 in Smith & Wesson stock. It failed, prompting City Comptroller Amer Ahmad to storm out of the meeting in disgust.
