A recent show celebrating talk show host Steve Harvey's birthday reunited Harvey with an Orlando Florida couple that helped him up out of the gutter years ago. "I never forgot it," Harvey said in the midst of tears to the them on his show.
It's too bad Harvey hasn't absorbed the lesson this couple taught. As an avid Obama Democrat, the now-Chicago based Harvey promotes Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton racist rhetoric.
He misses his own perfect example why charity directly shared by one human to another - without the State's intervention or demands - is the most effective way to run social services. As in this case, both the givers and the receivers lives are changed and their positive experience encourages them to reach out to others around them more. It's the way God intended us to treat each other and why the State-mandated tax social services system will always ultimately fail.
