Career Democrat politician Bill Daley, who’s considering a run for governor, talked politics today at a fundraising breakfast at Misericordia House on Chicago’s North
Side.
He painted himself as a victim to the attendees, stating “I have spent my life around people who have been in politics and government. ...It is a brutal job.”
“Our society has gotten much less civil,” he said. “What’s popular on TV? Reality TV shows, where people act like total fools. ...But maybe our politics, which should always be better, is becoming reflective of our society. Maybe we need to think about that first before we just blame politicians for acting kinda goofy at times.”
