CHICAGO - The flu season hasn't peaked yet, but it's expected to be the worse in ten years. The virus has been reported in 41 states — with 29 reporting high or “severe” levels. Already there's concern about the effect absent workers may have on dragging the economy down even more, a Wall Street Journal story says today.
Time to curtail those face-to-face meetings, do more teleconferencing and encourage workers with flu-like symptoms to stay at home, rather than infect their colleagues. And yes, experts recommend, cover your coughs and wash your hands more often.
