Assault weapons ban passes Illinois Senate committee

SPRINGFIELD - This evening, a Senate committee passed an assault weapons ban along party lines. State Senator Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) comments:

The amended language for neither HB 815 nor HB 1263 has been published to the Illinois General Assembly's website for public review as of 9:30 PM. A floor vote is expected in the Illinois Senate Thursday. State Senator Dave Syverson (R-Rockford) comments.
