WASHINGTON – Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has been re-appointed to the House Energy and Commerce Committee for the 113th Congress and tapped to serve on the subcommittees of Energy and Power; Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade; and Communications and Technology.
"The district I serve is one of the most energy intensive districts in the country," Kinzinger said. "It is home to four nuclear power plants, miles of windmills, hydropower plants, and ethanol and biodiesel plants. Our nuclear energy production alone employs more than 2,500 people. In addition, coal and natural gas energy are also vital resources in the district."
