Saturday Congressman Joe Walsh (IL-8) held a town hall meeting in Wauconda, Illinois. Near the end, Walsh talked about his political future since he will not be returning to Washington as a part of the 113th Congress. He said he wants to stay involved in the fight to save this nation and the state of Illinois. Walsh also said, "It'd be kinda fun to run against Dick Durbin."
"The state of Illinois and this Republican Party needs a Scott Walker to run for Governor," Walsh told the town hall attenders. He also said that he hasn't seen nor heard that Scott Walker-type come forward yet and he does not want to see the IL GOP put up another establishment candidate to run for the Governor's Mansion.
If I may be so bold, I have heard a Scott Walker-type here in Illinois, and his name is Joe Walsh.
