Durbin and Kirk nominate Fitzgerald replacement candidates

CHICAGO - Illinois US Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk nominated four to succeed Patrick Fitzgerald as U.S. Attorney for Northern Illinois. 

Corporate litigation attorney Michael Bunge, former Illinois and Tennesse prosecutor Zachary Fardon, former chief administrator for Chicago Police Department Office of Professional Standards Lori Lightfoot and white collar crime attorney Gil Soffer are the nominees Durbin and Kirk agreed upon. All four are former federal prosecutors.
 
The White House will review and make recommendation to Congress for appointment.
