CHICAGO - Seven people were hurt in shootings across Chicago Monday evening, including a 15-year-old boy in critical condition after he and three others were shot in a single Washington Heights neighborhood attack.
Four people, ranging in age from a 15-year-old boy to a 22-year-old man, were all taken to area hospitals in serious-to-critical condition following the 7:30 p.m. attack in the 9400 block of South Justine Street, authorities said.
“This is a quiet block,” said Christine Haymond, a retired nursing home cook who saw the aftermath from her window. One of the men tried to crawl away after the shooting but kept falling, she said.
