Who still believes in freedom and the rule of law? Some conservative Republican lawmakers do but they are a thin blue line that will be hard to hold on their own unless we pray for them. Many small business owners believe in freedom but far too many "Republican" Fortune 500 CEOs would be just has happy to throw freedom under the bus for a next quarter profit. A few academics believe in freedom and God bless their small but important ranks. A few media talking heads do believe in freedom but some are driven only by pretending to be concerned about liberty for the sake of audience ratings.
Finally immigrants to Ameica from countries where freedom was lost do often vote for freedom candidates here. I have always thought that the word "freedom" is more important than the word "conservative" to describe what I most believe in. There are many people who do cherish freedom from every ethnic and racial group and from men and women. Don't give up on freedom and don't concede any group to the Left. But before political action can be successful a foundation of solid education for liberty must be built. Education in the founding documents of the nation and in the principles and blessings of free enterprise takes time to change the minds of millions of people but it is the necessay first step to reclaiming a vision of the American dream.
