Conservatives have to chuckle when they read analysis after analysis put forth by Liberal know-it-alls as to what Illinois liberty lovers did wrong when they lost elections this cycle and what they should do to fix it in the future. Most certainly, it would have made perfect sense for American colonists fighting for freedom away from a controlling, life-threatening power like the British Establishment, to heed British dominant Redcoats' advice, right?
Liberty lovers can always count on the Establishment Left to push nasty Revolutionaries' noses in their defeats to just "teach them a lesson," and that's exactly what Huffington Post's political analyst Kyle Hillman did this am. Why, they even extended the courtesy of sending Illinois Review a link to their story mocking Illinois' conservative groups, the IL GOP chairman, the Republican caucus leaders and oh yes, Illinois Tea Party groups. Of course, you can imagine how ashamed Huff Post says we all ought to be as to Tuesday's results. Why, if we wanted to win, we should be just like them - the Establishment Left.
To be like the Establishment Left, or the Liberal Royalty, we as conservatives must: 1. bow in submission to the state's Leftist rulers, 2. recognize exactly which of the political ideologies is bigger, better and more powerful, 3. dramatically change our thinking, 4. reject our obsession with liberty and justice for all, and 5. above all, shut up, get to work and prepare to pay those tax hikes that are sure to come. What are our alternatives?
Heh. Let's see ... what would Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington, Patrick Henry and Benjamin Franklin do?
Our response: We'll find our way, thanks, Huffington Post, and without your Leftist counsel. First thing, though, we conservatives have to recognize we have a branding problem. After all, how are we pesky, stubborn rebels for freedom going to be identified when the Establishment Left needs to be appropriately attired in unquestionably fitting Redcoats?
