Former Governor Jim Edgar, who served in office before a significant number of Illinoisans were even born, weighed in on the current problems of the Illinois Republican Party. The "blast from the past" opined on the future in a rather self-promoting fashion reminding Illinois Issues that he has long said Republicans must "reach out to Latinos." Of course, he gave no specifics on how to do that.
Edgar's contemporary, Judy Baar Topinka, had her own take on the future HERE. Edgar's input was the usual - more outreach, better candidates, concede the Democrat Party's policy proposals.
