HINSDALE - House Minority Leader Tom Cross and For the Good of Illinois founder Adam Andrzejewski will take to the air in a statewide flyaround Wednesday to promote their new "Save Illinois Taxpayers" Pledge campaign.
Andrzejewski's organization stated Tuesday that the pledge being rolled out is based on recent polling issues that, if promoted, could turn Illinois into a red state.
87% of those polled demand an adversarial audit of all spending; 77% say freeze property taxes; 72% want it illegal for property taxes to increase when home values fall. 94% believe that government spending involves waste, mis-management and corruption.
Cross and Andrzejewski will be holding press conferences at four different airports throughout the state, starting at the St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Il at 10 am. At 11:45 they'll speak with reporters at the Quincy/Baldwin Airport and then fly into Rock Island for a presser at the Quad Cities International Airport at 1:45. The plan is to finish up the flyaround at the Chicago Executive Airport in Palwaukee at 3:45 PM.
The public is encouraged to attend each of Wednesday's rallies.
