The Hill is reporting that Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has put his District of Columbia home up for
sale, stirring new questions about his future in Congress amid his
treatment for bipolar disorder.
Jackson's office has insisted all summer that he's still running for reelection in November, but the news that his home is on the market will generate new speculation about whether those plans have changed.
The home — a four-bedroom row-house on a tree-lined street in the posh Dupont Circle neighborhood — is listed for $2.5 million. As usual, Jackson's office on Wednesday declined to comment on the record.
