CHICAGO – Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady released the following statement regarding news that Illinois’ unemployment rate rose to 9.1% in August:
“This week’s Illinois job numbers are just another reminder of the failed policies of Illinois Democrats led by Mike Madigan."
“With two million people in Illinois living in poverty, one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, and the worst debt in the nation, Illinois desperately needs a change of leadership beginning with firing Mike Madigan as Speaker of the Illinois House this November.”
