Illinois Tea Party defended Congressman Joe Walsh (IL-8) in a statement released on their website:
It’s no secret the Chicago Media does not like Congressman Joe Walsh. They want him gone and Tammy Duckworth elected to Congress. And the Corrupt Chicago Media will do whatever it can to see that happen. They will even work for Tammy Duckworth to help her win and defeat Congressman Walsh.
To date, the Duckworth campaign largely has been built on that media assistance. Fundraisers for expensive television advertising and constant media negative coverage of Congressman Walsh constitute the Duckworth campaign. She will do very little actual campaigning.
