ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Sunday, after a townhall meeting with 8th CD constituents on the topic of health care, Congressman Joe Walsh, who's become a national media phenomena, took a few minutes to talk heart-to-heart with three Illinois new media reporters - Publius Forum's Warner Todd Huston, Marathon Pundit John Ruberry and Illinois Review's editor Fran Eaton.
The short discussion was a follow up to Walsh's comments earlier that he was "a Tea Party conservative first, a Republican second," which brought on a rowsing applause from the townhall audience of 350. Walsh voiced his frustration with Illinois' Republican Party that seems unable to resist Mike Madigan and the Illinois Democrat Machine's wiley ways. And at the end of the interview, Walsh didn't back away too harshly from the rumor that he's considering a bid for statewide office in 2014. From Publius Forum ...
