Our sympathies are with the families and loved ones of those who were senselessly killed late Thursday night in Aurora Colorado. We pray for those innocent victims that were injured and who fight for their lives, after being shot in a crowded theatre by a 25 year old man.
While the nation's attention and concern are turned towards the tragedy in Aurora Colorado, we are reminded of our own nightly shooting massacres on Chicago streets as the number of senseless killings mount this summer.
Both tragic situations should grieve the nation. We join those left behind with a desire to find meaningful solutions.
