SPRINGFIELD - There have been three notable state legislature candidacy changes in the past two weeks:
The Republican candidate for State House District 35 just pulled out of the race Monday afternoon. Orland Park's Steve Williams withdrawal will leave Chicago Democrats' Frances Hurley unopposed in November. Orland Park Township's GOP Committeeman is Liz Gorman.
In the 41st Senate District, LaGrange Independent Jeff Tucek pulled out of the race July 9th, leaving Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno unopposed in November 2012.
And in the 43rd Senate District, State Senator AJ Wilhelmi withdrew from his November re-election bid, and Monday he was replaced by Joliet's Pat McGuire. McGuire will be facing Manhattan Republican Sandy Johnson in November.
