Quinn changes his mind and keeps three adult inmate transition centers open

AURORA - Gov. Pat Quinn has decided to keep open three state facilities helping former prison inmates transition into society, a reversal of plans to close them because of budget constraints, an official said today.

The decision to keep operating the Fox Valley Adult Transition Center in Aurora, the Peoria Adult Transition Center and the North Lawndale Adult Transition Center in Chicago is based on a performance review.
