STREAMWOOD - Ramiro Juarez, GOP nominee in IL House's 44th District, and his family walked with more than two dozen supporters in 100 degree temperatures to celebrate America’s Independence Day.
“This was a great experience to both walk with so many committed people to my candidacy and see the many supporters I have in the 44th District. It made me feel even more proud to be an American, and experience the enthusiastic crowd," Juarez said. "For me, as a first time candidate for office and the Republican nominee, the experience reminded me of why my parents immigrated over almost 50 years ago to build a life in this land of freedom and opportunity.”
Juárez is running against three-term Democrat incumbent Fred Crespo. The 44th District includes Streamwood and Hoffman Estates, among other northwest suburban towns.
