Illinois unemployment up in June. Quinn, Madigan, Cullerton silent.

As reported, the unemployment rate across Illinois increased in June, rising to 8.7 percent. The national unemployment rate is 8.2 percent.

In Illinois, the trade, transportation and utilities sector lost a net 4,900 jobs. Employment Security spokesman Greg Rivara says the bulk of the losses in those sectors were among retailers who continue to be hurt by weak consumer confidence.

Not a word from Quinn, Madigan, or Cullerton. Just a 13 page diatribe from Madigan whining about the media daring to imply he's corrupt.
