The Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee has started an attack on GOP Congressman Bob Dold (IL-10) through internet ads attacking Dold and the Republican caucus' stance against Obamacare, and they say, in favor of insurance companies.
Not so, Dold Campaign spokesman John McGovern said Monday in response, and points out that the Democrats' candidate in the 10th CD is himself an insurance exec:
"The DCCC wants to distract from the reality that their plan for health care reform is a roadblock to economic recovery and financial stability with its massive tax increases on American families and employers, its counterproductive mandates on the business community, and its adding trillions of dollars in new, open-ended government spending, all while failing to contain the cost of health care.
"It is ironic though that the DCCC's candidate for Illinois' 10th District, Brad Schneider, is an insurance executive, and as the single largest contributor to his campaign, he has already donated over $150,000 of his personal money made in the insurance industry to fund his campaign."
