According to WBEZ, DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin has run out of patience. He told the radio station today that he has proposed a plan to help consolidate local government offices and spending. He's calling it the DuPage ACT (Accountability, Consolidation and Transparency) Initiative. Cronin's goal with the initiative is better access to the 52 boards and commissions he oversees.
Cronin admitted that not everyone at the County is eager to take a detailed look at how they run their shops. He concedes he didn't make many friends when he eliminated accumulated sick and vacation days for employees. And there's still work ahead. ...More HERE
