Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) challenges Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ claim of ‘balance’ over her HHS abortifacient mandate this week., Gowdy asked the secretary for the legal basis for the mandate and its constitutionality or Supreme Court precedence. She claims to have relied on discussions from her lawyers on the mandate’s constitutional basis, however she says there are no legal memos to back up her assertions.
