I admit I am not the most enlightened or sophisticated of men. My wife and I are so backward, we did not pay to have our children killed before they could be born. Still, I think we are better off for the lives we nurtured as opposed to taking the enlightened , sophisticated, Planned Parenthood (or the inaccurately named, Hope Clinic in Granite City, IL) profit building approach to pregnancy.
I suppose my lack of sophistication is to blame for the shock I experienced when I saw a tweet advertising the “National Abortion Access Bowl-A-Thon.” I suppose when I followed someone on twitter whose picture reads “I am Dr. Tiller,” I should not be surprised by the depths of depravity I see.
One may learn of this bowl-a-thon and think that it is better that they raise private funds to pay for the slaughter of the innocent than to expect wealth seized from taxpayers to fund the carnage. Of course, those who advocate for abortion “rights” would never think of not seeking the federal government to seize the labor of good people and divert it toward their evil ends.
National Network of Abortion Funds: Fund Abortion Now clearly advocates for the seizure of tax dollars. Repeal of the Hyde Amendment is prominently featured as one of the top goals for this nefarious group.
Shortly after Dr. George Tiller, notorious performer of late-term abortions, was murdered, I wrote about his being made into a martyr by those who worship at the altar of abortion. It is clear that he is seen as a martyr by this group and other hardcore proponents of abortion. There is a link to “Honor Dr. Tiller’s Legacy” at which one can donate for the following purpose:
The George Tiller Memorial Abortion Fund is the National Network of Abortion Funds’ national abortion fund that helps women to pay for later abortion care.
Notice the terms used in order to soften the grisly truth, “abortion care” or worse “later abortion care.” Late-term abortions are more expensive and (thankfully) there are not many practitioners sick enough to provide them. This memorial to Tiller the Baby Killer serves to assist in funding the transportation to and procedures associated with “later abortion care.” A reminder of what this “care” includes can be found on the web-site of one such “caring” “doctor,” (Gruesomely called “Abortion Advantage” Dr. Lamar Robinson MDPA OB/GYN):
Procedures from 20 to 24 weeks are a 2-day process and must be done in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in San Antonio under general anesthesia. If your procedure is being performed at our San Antonio location it is not necessary that you be seen in the Dallas office. We will review your ultrasound and lab work from your physician or clinic. All of your required forms may be faxed or emailed to our office. Dr. Robinson will visit with you in person or by telephone to answer your questions before your visit to the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Late Second Trimester abortion procedure begins with laminaria insertion. On the first day of the abortion, an injection of medication is made into the amniotic fluid surrounding the pregnancy to assure that it will be stillborn and will not experience any discomfort during the procedure. You will be sedated prior to this procedure.
Following the insertion of laminaria you may:
- Eat and drink normally
- Take a shower, not a tub bath
- Use sanitary pads, not tampons
- Do not place anything into the vagina
- Use Ibuprofen every 4 hours for cramping
On the second day, you will be taken to the operating room and put to sleep. The procedure is done by inserting a sterile plastic tube through the cervix into the uterus to vacuum amniotic fluid. Abdominal ultrasound will be used for guidance. A small pair of forceps will be placed inside the uterus and the fetus will be carefully removed. A uterine curette will be used to check the walls of the uterus for complete removal of the placenta. The vacuum will then be repeated. A final post-operative ultrasound will be done to make certain the uterus is empty and the procedure is complete. The procedure will take between 20 to 30 minutes. You will then be awakened and taken to the recovery room for observation.
It is just “the pregnancy, ” you see… a medical condition. It is not a baby with a beating heart and the ability to feel pain, after all. Even if “the pregnancy” could feel pain, never fear, “an injection of medication is made into the amniotic fluid surrounding the pregnancy to assure that it will be stillborn and will not experience any discomfort during the procedure.”
So, those who profit by killing the innocent admit that at their victims are at least capable of feeling “discomfort” even if they won’t be honest enough to admit that the victims are capable of experiencing pain. This description, with carefully selected words, still provides a window into what the abortion advocate supports. Can there be any doubt about the character of those who fight to promote these butchers and to have taxpayers line their pockets?
