CHICAGO, IL -- United to Restore Freedom | Action (URF Action) today released its fifth annual scorecard of the Illinois General Assembly. The scorecard rates Illinois’ state legislators based on the conservative URF LIFT principles of limited government, individual liberty, free enterprise, and traditional values.
“With Illinois facing a fiscal crisis and social upheaval as the result of decades-long liberal public policy, the URF scorecard offers citizens a conservative perspective on how their state legislators vote,” said Dennis LaComb, Executive Director of URF Action. “Unlike other scorecards, URF Action provides five years of accumulated voting records, which reveals state legislator’s voting patterns and policy support over time.”
As in years past, the URF recognized as “LIFT Leaders” State Senators and House members who have a lifetime score of 75 or higher. In 2011, they include:
Illinois State Senators: Christine Johnson, Sam McCann, Shane Cultra, Suzi Schmidt, Darin LaHood, Ron Sandack, Dale Righter, Matt Murphy, Kyle McCarter, Tom Johnson, and Chris Lauzen.
Illinois State Representatives: Unes, Kay, Brown Reis, Sosnowski, Morrison, Bellock, Sommer, Ramey, Mitchell, Cavaletto, Tryon, Connelly, Schmitz, Pihos, Hammond, Hatcher, Kosel, Rose, Osmond, Cole, Pritchard, Leitch, Tracy, Roth, Rosenthal, Morthland, Bost, Barickman, Sacia, and Fortner.
