Tuesday, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum swept Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota GOP presidential primaries/caucuses.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I don't stand here as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney. I stand here as the conservative alternative to Barack Obama!" Santorum said to an energetic crowd in St. Charles Missouri Tuesday night.
After describing the Obama Administration's commands for military chaplains to not share Catholic bishops' letter of opposition to Obamacare's mandate to provide free contraception for institutional employees, Santorum said Obama was imposing his secular beliefs on the nation.
"My friends, in this election, Freedom is at stake!" Santorum said.
Santorum came in first in Missouri with 55 percent, Romney second with 25 and Paul at 12. Gingrich was not on Missouri's ballot.
Santorum was winning with 45 percent in Minnesota, Ron Paul at 27, Mitt Romney at 17 and Newt Gingrich at 11.
And after midnight, the Colorado GOP authorities confirmed that Santorum won in Colorado, as well, with 48 percent of the vote.
