Patti Blagojevich is proclaiming Rod's innocence two weeks before he reports to prison for a 14-year sentence for corruption. Patti says on the Oprah Winfrey Network's "The Rosie Show" that she knows her husband's heart and that he took the public's trust seriously.
In the interview with host Rosie O'Donnell, Patti talks of her husband's arrest in December 2008. She recalls thinking it was a joke when FBI agents outside their home demanded that she open the door.

In a related story, Donald Trump told WLS this morning that he thinks Blagojevich's sentence for corruption is too harsh, and that the fourteen year sentence is too much. Trump told Don & Roma, "I feel very badly for him. He was a very nice guy. It's devastating to his family."
Of course, "The Donald" doesn't live here...and doesn't seem to care about how "devastating" Rod and the other corruption is for all the rest of us.
