ROCKFORD - Illinois is the only state without some form of concealed carry. People who support changing that packed a town hall meeting in Rockford to talk about it.
IllinoisCarry.com spokesperson Valinda Rowe told reporters that the townhall, which drew more than 200 citizens, isn't just about crime, but a woman's right to protect herself.
"One of the most demeaning and insulting things to the women in the state of Illinois are the instructions on the state police web site suggesting that we protect ourselves with a hair comb or a car key," said Rowe.
