CHICAGO - Monday, 7500 #OccupyChicago protestors are expected to "Take Back Chicago." "Taking back what...from whom?" If there's a place in America that's been dominated by political corruption and the 53% that don't pay taxes but live off the 47% of us that play by the rules, it's the city of Chicago. If these folks haven't "had Chicago" and now want to "take it back," who, in heaven's name, has "had it"?
We all want to know, because officially, the whole state of Illinois is run by Chicagoans - Governor Pat Quinn, Senate President John Cullerton, House Speaker and Democratic Party Chairman Mike Madigan and his daughter, Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Unions like SEIU, AFSCME, Chicago's Teacher Union and their buddies are the ones who "have" Chicago, folks.
The Republicans don't have Chicago. The conservatives don't have Chicago. The Tea Party doesn't have Chicago, either. Who are you "taking back Chicago" from, folks?
