As Illinois Review has been reporting this past week, the Wisconsin recall elections coming up this week and next will be used by the unions movement to regain union-sympathetic control over the Wisconsin Senate. But that's just the beginning. Unions like SEIU and the NEA will be out in full force with intentions to turn the current national tide back in favor of union political domination. Just today, this email was sent out from a union leader to his Facebook friends via WisconsinRecall.net...
I know this is the second e-mail I have sent today, but it is important. David Hansen, one of the "Wisconsin 14" heros who has stood up for Wisconsin's working families, needs your help. Please pass this along to anyone else you know who can help.
WHAT and WHEN - Dave needs your help with 30th Senate District (Green Bay) phone or door-to-door canvassing in the critical period from July 15th - 19th. As you probably know, July 19th is the general election day there, with no primary. (The Republican flakie who was plannig on forcing it to be a primary election couldn't get enough valid signatures to be on the ballot, so now it's a general election.) This is a critical race and it is paramount that our good Sen. Hansen retain his seat.
WHO - If you are able to help, please call Elliot Magers or Evan Gorelich at 920-288-2318, or send an e-mail toelliotm@wisdems.org to volunteer to help. Although this can only be confirmed by Elliot or Evan, there may be the ability to provide lodging for those who require it, and remote phone canvassing capability may be available. Elliot and/or Evan will be able to verify this.
I don't know Dave personally, but I have seen his good deeds from a diatance. His life reflects a good man who has touched the lives of so many people in Green Bay as a teacher, coach, mentor and advocate for working people. We need Dave Hansen. He stood up for us, now let's stand up for him!
Best regards in Solidarity,
Patrick Williams, WisconsinRecall.net
