WLS is reporting that Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle has jumped right into the mob attack story. Implying racism, Preckwinkle is complaining that the news media ignores similar attacks in the neighborhoods; citing a friend of hers who was attacked about six blocks from her house recently.
“He was on his motorcycle. Someone threw a brick at him from a group of kids. They knocked him off his motorcycle. They surrounded him and then they beat him up. But you see it wasn’t on Michigan Ave. Ok? And it wasn’t in the Loop. So it’s not news,” Preckwinkle said.
