Jacksonville – The National Federation of Independent Business, Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. and the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, today endorsed Sam McCann (R) for the 49th State Senate seat currently head by incumbent Deanna Demuzio (D) of Carlinville.
Surrounded by 100 business supporters at a reception in Jacksonville, Kim Maisch, State Director of the Illinois NFIB, said that “Sam McCann has created hundreds of jobs over the years and he knows that higher taxes and burdensome regulations discourage small businesses from hiring, investing and remaining in Illinois. Sam McCann is exactly the kind of leader that we need in Springfield.”
The Contractors for Free Enterprise, an affiliate of the Associated Builders & Contractors, Illinois Chapter, was pleased to extend its endorsement to fellow contractor Sam McCann. “Sam knows what it takes to jumpstart our economy and to reduce the cost of doing business that will lead to reinvestment and job growth,” said Illinois President Alicia Martin.
Doug Whitley, President & CEO of the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce emphasized the failed leadership of the Democratic controlled General Assembly and Executive Offices. “Denna Demuzio and the Chicago Democrats have failed at management, abused employers, ignored job losses and neglected Illinois’ economy at the very time when we most need to restore prosperity,” said Whitley. “Sam McCann is equipped with the business tools for a much needed fresh start to balance our budget and restore job growth.”
McCann stated “These endorsements from this coalition show an obvious choice for those voting in the 49th Senate District”. McCann continued, “These organizations represent people and companies in Illinois who create and keep jobs, having their endorsements demonstrates to the voters that I am the Candidate who can bring job growth to the 49th Senate District.”
