Over the weekend, the Chicago Minutemen Project endorsed Rockford's Robert Zadek as their choice in the 2010 GOP U.S. Senate nominee race.
CMP's head Rick Biesada wrote Zadek of the endorsement, saying the pro-legal immigration group chose the businessman, "...[B]ecause of your recent understanding of illegal immigration, and your unhesitating response to our conversation by posting 'Illegal Immigration is illegal, our laws must be obeyed,' on your web site."
Zadek replied, "Thank you very much for the endorsement from you and the Minute Men. I will do my best to live up to the high expectations that your people expect. I have learned so much more about the illegal aliens. I believed that all federal funds should be withheld from states and cities that harbor these people. What they are doing is illegal , and breaking the laws of our country."

The Minuteman Project has just really endorsed Mark Kirk. By keeping the field of candidates fractured, endorsing a candidate with absolutely ZERO ability to win the nomination, the Minutemen help to keep any candidate from developing the momentum to win. Congratulations Minutemen, you have helped to ensure that those who will not protect our borders win.

Hey Lee,
Aren't you the one that blasted Patrick Hughes as incompetent for not voting or something?
Are you working for Kirk too?

I neither blasted him nor called him any name. I said it was an issue he needed to get in front of by addressing it if he hoped to win. That is all I wrote. Please refer to my posting on this issue as you are so completely uninformed.

Nothing against Mr. Zadek, I applaud him for his stance.
But unfortunately, Mr. Newcom is right.

I thought Zadek was for a legalization process earlier.

Ret. Col. Ray True, Chairman of the Republican Assembly of Lake County has filed objections to the petitions of Robert Zadek and Tom Kuna. Considering Col. True's stellar reputation, I would think both candidates are in serious danger of being removed from the ballot. I like Mr. Zadek, he is a an honorable man, but you have to get the signatures to run.

Hey Lee, go cry in your beer.Aren't you one of the guys who are always hosting fund raisers for "all" candidates?
You seem to be one of the elitists who hold a proclivity to select a predetermined loser.
Remember what they said about Abraham Lincoln ... but more to the point, Robert Zadek is the only candidate tenacious enough to speak about the problems regarding illegal immigration.
While the governor, legislators, and candidates, whine about budget deficits, illegal immigration is costing the state of Illinois 3.5 Billion dollars that we know about, actual figures are probably much higher, and our feckless leaders are too timid to address this problem.
They want to pretend that it doesn't exist but it does, and it's killing our states economically.
What I like best about America is my freedom of choice.
My freedom to choose a candidate that best represents my interests, not some phony stooge... or some stooge, trying to get into my head telling me who to vote for.
You vote for your candidate Newcomb, and I'll vote for mine.
Our endorsement of Mr.Robert Zadek stands ... We don't endorse Girlymen.

Wow! If Rick Biesada's way of talking reflects the way the Minutemen Project thinks I think that's an endorsement I'd rather skip. I believe in stopping illegal immigration, but I'm not big on attacking anyone who disagrees with me with petty viciousness.

Right from the start, petty Viciousness , ha,ha,ha, you exemplify a typical feckless Republican loser.
Next you'll be accusing me of committing a hate crime. Get a life!

Rick:
You and I are on the same side. You don't win for both of our views by endorsing people who have no ability to win, nor do you help build friends for the future by calling your allies names. I don't support liberals or fecless losers. And by-the-way, you also don't win by making false accusations about those who agree with you. I don't host fundraisers for "all" candidates and won't participate in helping to fund RINOs. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of them. Zadek is a good man apparently. But he has ZERO chance of getting even 10% of the primary vote. You deminish your own credibility with not only the endorsement, but your angry, name calling attack on anyone who would dare disagree.

Lee, I respect your opinion although I am intolerant of your philosophy of fighting by the Marquis of Queensbury Rules.
What has this philosophy done for our state or for the country?
We are both old enough to have lived through the turbulent 60's, and witness this new age.
I liked it better in the old days when men took risk. Now days, men have forgotten what they stand for, so they perpetuate a losing philosophy and elect provocateurs such as Mark Kirk, and Barack Obama, to public office, then try to vilify me for being angry.
My anger is directed to shock the politician out of their complacency so that they can put this country back together again.
