John C. Ackerman

Okay, can Dillard milk this story any more! We get the idea, Edgar endorses your campaign. Can we move on to the issues the voters care about now. These are the things that Bill Brady is talking about. Maybe that is why he is the leading candidate...

Mensa

OK. So Former Governor Milquetoast writes a letter setting forth his agreement with Kirk's views. Oh, wait. He didn't say anything about agreeing with Kirk on anything. He must've forgotten to raise the moistened finger in the air before typing that bilge. He merely held up a resume of failure. Nothing in there about vision nor passion. Just more bloviating boilerplate from the king of Illinois RINO's.

I'll get right on it, Mr. Edgar.

Sincerely Conservative

John,

Just curious as to where you are getting your information that Brady is ahead in the polls? I'd be curious if there is a poll in which Brady leads, to see who ran the poll and if it could be considered at all relevant. If you had been paying attention to anything that Senator Dillard had been saying, you would be aware of his stances on education, the economy, taxes, ect. And also note that this wasn't posted by the campaign. It was just an additional post. So clearly this was not an effort to get additional attention, but something that was put up in case it was of any interest to readers.

I haven't taken any poll. But I can guarantee that Mr. Undecided is way out in front. So far nobody has broken away from the pack to gain on Mr. Undecided.

Pretty obvious

The only thing Bill Brady leads in is amount of campaign debt, the huge amount left over from his spoiler campaign in 2006 when he stayed in to help his pal Topinka.

Brady also leads in disgust generated among Republicans when he sold out on SB600.

Realist

It's pretty obvious that there are exponentially bigger issues than SB600.

All this stupid piece of legislation would do is enable Tom Cross and Christine Radogno to grab a seat on the SCC, anyway.

Ah, another bitter Oberweis voter chimes in. I figured once Oberweis lost a safe Republican congressional district to an unknown Dem, the Oberweis fans would stop with the "Obie would governor today if weren't for that bastard Bill Brady", but they just can't get over their bitterness from '06. Every single Republican challenger running for Governor across the country lost in that election cycle, but somehow Obie with his extremely high negatives would have won. It reminds me of the Michael Moore crowd ranting about how Bush "stole" the 2000 election from Gore.

Sincerely Conservative-Unfortunately you have to look at Dillard's actions to find out if his words will match his past performance in the case of tax and fee increase’s it doesn’t. While saying he's against tax and fee increase's he has voted for both in the last few year's while a state senator's. I suppose he will say they really needed the money; well won't they really need the money if he become's Governor there will be a $10 billion dollar budget hole? We need a candidate who does what he says he going to do because I think voters in the general election will be looking for someone who they feel they can trust.

?

I must have missed the poll showing Brady in the lead. Can someone provide a link to the results and/or related article?

Thanks.

?

Sorry, just got caught up and am confused. So there is no poll?

If you like the current state of affairs in IL, vote for Dillard, McKenna or Shillerstrom. These establish players will keep things pretty much the way they are with little tweaks at the meaningless margins. All that will be missing is the personality circus that was dear "Blago". Brady probably falls in with the hear, see, speak no evil trio.

Adam Andrzejewski is the only serious answer for what ails Illinois.

Claire DuMount

Adam is only running to raise his own name ID so he can eventually run for Congress--it's clear he has no experience or enough money..

And the last time I checked, Brady is about $400K in debt...I guess that's what happens when you run for 5 years and have no donors...if people won't donate to your campaign, it's because they don't think you can win....I would think $400 in the hole is a good indicator that people don't believe you have a shot to win a General Election

Sammy G

Dear Jaded, please remove Shillerstrom from your Dillard, McKenna group...Bob stands apart from them since he has runned big government and has the only executive experience of the candidates. He has a track record of balanced budgets and when you consider the population of Dupage, his leadership is quite impresssive. All the other candiates can talk about what they would do, Bob is the only candidate that has done it. McKenna divided the party and Dillard is a flip flopper.

jaded voter

Claire & Sammy,

Adam A.IS running for GOV. He is serious, committed, has grassroot enthusiam behind him, and he has real money. He made plenty in a successful biz he founded. Check out the content and quality of his ideas and him personally. He is unmatched. There is nobody in the race who has his grasp of state finances nor the will to remake them.

We have way too many candidates with 'experience'. It is experience we have had enough of. George Ryan & Blago had plenty of 'experience'. Enough already. This experience mantra has done alot of damage keeping so many hacks in office.

Dupage is no paradise. Shillerstrom raised taxes out here and has been content to watch property taxes bleed homeowners dry. The fact that it is better managed than Cook is a poor recommendation.

Schillerstrom also had no qualms about playing Daley style muscle politics last cycle, dumping $100k into a County board seat race in the its last week. he wanted rid of an uncooperative board member. His sin was failing to rubber stamp a tax increase.

We can sure do without Bob. The bonus here is when he loses this race we are also done with him as County board president.
